The UDZ intelligent electric contact water level gauge is composed of a measuring cylinder and a secondary meter. The installation position of the electric contact on the measuring cylinder corresponds to the light emitting diode on the secondary meter. The secondary meter displays the water level value in the control room. The secondary meter adopts single chip microcomputer and integrated circuit, which has the ability of intelligent analysis and judgment. When the water level is abnormal, it can carry out sound and light alarm and interlock control. This type of instrument has the advantages of stable performance, reliable work and convenient maintenance. It is widely used in boiler drum, water tank and other water containers with different pressures and temperatures.

Working principle
Due to the great difference in conductivity between water and steam, taking the boiler drum of power plant as an example, the water resistance is generally tens of kΩ and the steam resistance is above 1MΩ. The water level is converted into an electrical signal and sent to the secondary meter through the change of the resistance value of the electrical contact on the measuring cylinder. The multi-switch circuit in the secondary meter selects the resistance value information of each electrical contact in time division and converts it into a voltage signal and sends it to the/D converter to a digital quantity, after sampling by the microcontroller, the corresponding resistance value is calculated and compared with the pre-set critical value. The contact greater than the critical value is in the steam, and the CPU makes the light-emitting diode display red through the I/O circuit; the contact less than the critical value is in the water, it displays green, and the junction of red and green is the water level value. Finally, the light-emitting diode and digital tube directly display the water level value.

When the water level is abnormal, the secondary meter will send out an audible and visual alarm to remind the water level is abnormal, and the interlocking control can be achieved by connecting to the on-site control system.
The heat tracing function of UDZ intelligent electric contact water level gauge is divided into two structures: steam heat tracing and electric heat tracing. Steam tracing is the use of saturated steam in the drum to trace the measuring cylinder, and a condensing device is provided to make the water sample in the measuring cylinder pure water with the same temperature as the drum, which improves the service life of the electrode and the measurement accuracy. Electric heat tracing uses ceramic heater to heat the measuring cylinder, so that the temperature in the measuring cylinder is consistent with the temperature in the steam drum, and the measurement accuracy is higher.
